Since the school year 1999/2000 Dreilinden High-School has offered the subject of Economics in the 9th and 10th year levels, within the framework of ‘Wahlpflichtunterricht’.  This means that the subject can be selected in year 9, and runs over a period of two years.  To be more specific, business management topics are dealt with, whereby general economic and political economic questions are included to a suitable extent within the course.

The Content in Detail:

1. Starting a business, business objectives, business registration.

2. Structure and organisation of a business.

3. Investment and financing.

4. Costs and earnings.

5. Sales and marketing.

Within the framework of the course, business visits and business scouting should be carried out.

To this end, we can rely on the co-operation of our partner institutions – the IKON-AG and the Commerzbank.

Over and above this we have in the past taken part in the stock exchange contest.

The business internship, which takes place in year 10, is also intended to complement the subject of economics.
